Last day of February

Very pale series of pictures this time..
Pictures from a walk yesterday, today's afternoon and my mom's fried springrolls, they're soooo good, much better than they look:)

It's been a good Monday so far. Almost everybody at work are on sports vacation this week. And my only job is to do a wallpainting in one room at the kindergarten. Fun!
I will take Friday off and spend the day with my mom before she goes back to Stockholm.

My dad "forced" me to try a honey product he had bought, called propolis. A half teaspoon in the tea is enough. It's supposed to be very healthy, but I think the jar looks like it contains poison.. It tastes weird, a bit bitter.

My Mom is visiting for a week! My sisters too. That means long dinners with a lot of talking, nice;)

We had lunch at my dads place today and our furry friend slept behind my computer. She's getting old...

And to be a bit more artistically active I went to the Artist Talk evening yesterday with Platform. Two very interesting artists are here in Vasa on a recidency now. Swedish artist Helga Steppan and Florian Tuercke from Germany. Both very inspiring, especially Helga Steppan. She's working with photography and installation...and collecting things, hmm lovely.

Treasure hunting

Me and Linnea went to a fleamarket and I found some nice things. (Of course hey!)
A wall ship, a little bowl, an old book about Sami people with a nice cover.

And some childrens books. The three ones in the middle makes me so nostalgic, I just love all books from Inger and Lasse Sandberg.
Then an english book about a pigeon and a hotdog..hmm. It seemed so stupid and funny.

Things I actually didn't need. But it's ok with fleamarket books, or?!

Three different photos

I bought summer sandals..! Longing for warmer weather.
But the summer is very far away now. This week it's coldrecord here and up to -30 at night and -26 during the day..more or less.
Most of all I would like to sit by the fire with the book I am currently reading, "Out" by Natsuo Kirino.

I found the last picture on my desktop..and I might have posted it here before. Taken from the carwindow on a cold afternoon in December. Cold cold cold!

I'm curious to know what kind of weather you have right now where you live? :)

Art on the weekend

The four last pictures are from Ritz, where the exhibition takes place.

It was a fun evening spent together with good friends!

Sunny weekend

It has been some silent days here at my blog, but now I'm back!
The weekend has been really nice, and sunny;) Yesterday was the opening of two of my friends exhibition, it was just wonderful. I'll show some pictures soon.

Random pictures from today and last weekend.
It has been a very gray day, I've been to some fleamarkets but didn't find much, or I wasn't really in the mood. But I did find an ugly necklace and bought it because it had some nice details, a chestnut(?) and two treecones.
Think I'll make my own version of a necklace..

Another good thing today: I finally joined Pinterest! So far I started to make some boards..still learning about how the whole thing works, but it's really fun!

+ It's already February and I still haven't got myself a calendar...can't find the right one. Maybe I just go and buy a simple one from the bookstore or make my own, I always used to do that a few years ago.
Last year I had one from Julie Joliat and was very pleased with it. This year it's already sold out!
