Nice things

Pizza with Johanna on a warm day. The weather has been great this week.

Got a lovely gift from Rasmus brother and his wife. Hanna Konola designed kitchen towel, good coffee and a cool dishrag, what more do you need!

I cut bangs again, I know that I'll hate it some days, but mostly I'll think it's nice to have an easy hairstyle.
I usually make up my mind quickly about once a year and then I cut my hair, at home.

+
Whoa, can't believe I only have one more day at work! I don't even remember if I wrote that my vacation was going to start 1st of June, but then I was asked to work one more month- and so I did. Sometimes you just need the money:)

+
I love this bostonterrier!!

Allotment news

This evening: I harvested some spinach and salad...it's growing fast!
Afterwards, had a nice refreshing gin&tonic in E+T:s garden.

Pictures taken with my (very new!) iphone. I'm quite amazed how good pictures it takes.

Park

Little birdie wanted our leftovers.

Luckily the weather was on our side yesterday! Even a little sunshine, no rain- but chilly. I'm satisfied with my midsummer in town.
From now on the nights get darker, no more sun during night time this summer.

Those watermelons we had on the balcony today wasn't that good as it looks, it tasted like a dry carrot. Buhu.

Midsummer blues

I ate sour milk with cinnamon for breakfast + coffee and sandwiches, which I left out of the picture.
Looking out the window, being depressed over the grey and rainy weather.
They say it will be sunny later today, hmm it looks like it's clearing up but I'm not quite sure about sunshine..

This Midsummer will anyway be different from the previous years. Before we always used to go to a friends summerhouse over the weekend but it didn't happen this year. Instead we planned to have a picnic outside somewhere, try to make it cosy. If only the weather is fine.

Happy Midsummer to all of you, if you celebrate or not!

Food, oils and mosquitoes

Wild roses, cheese pie and salad.

It's a day off tomorrow because of the midsummer weekend!
But the weather is bad, rainy, windy and cold. Not exactly what you want for midsummer:/

+ We have an invasion of mosquitoes again.
EVEN more than last summer, because of the long cold winter with a lot of snow. Therefore, a mosquito spray is a must have if you're going to be outside in the evening.
Today at work I got a recipe for an organic mosquito o i l.
I bought the ingredients and just did my own oil, which consists of:

1 1 / 2 cup olive oil (mine was not organic)
20 drops of lavender oil
20 drops eucalyptus oil
20 drops pine oil
20 drops lemongrass oil
20 drops rosemary oil

It should really work against mosquitoes! I hope so!

Treasure

I just came home from work (one week + 1 day more work until my REAL summer vacation starts) and I found a little package on the floor in front of my door.
The necklace I ordered from Sunkentreasure has arrived! It's perfect and I love it, thank you so much Sophie:)

I will be wearing it frequently this summer.

Teufelsberg/Berlin

One grey day Rasmus took the camera and went to Teufelsberg. I had other plans that day, but after looking at his pictures I almost regret that I didn't go. Maybe another time.

Last evening in Berlin

We ate sushi and took photos.
This was our last evening, but not the last photos though! A little little bit more to post before I go back to regular blogging :)

Sixth day

On Monday we went to Treptower park for picnic and grilling. After that we decided to take a walk to the abandoned Spreepark. I've heard quite much about it and was curious.
They recently opened a small area for visitors again. The rest, that you actually wanted to see, was closed.
I didn't find it that exciting actually. Better would have been if it still was closed and forbidden:)

Fifth evening

We wanted to see a little bit of the culture carnival, so we went quickly there but returned just as fast. At that time it was way too crowded, couldn't almost move among all the people..therefore no photos! I only had a moment when I could take out my camera and that's the photo of the carousel. The other three photos are from the way to and from the carnival.
And..my mobile phone got stolen:( I had it in my jacket pocket. That's the only bad thing that happened on the trip.

Fifth day

A little tired after the long night out we decided to go to Mauerpark fleamarket, where they also had this open air karaoke. Crazy! People got up and sang in front of hundreds of people.
After that we ate a good pasta at a nice place nearby.
