Old attic

Pictures from my great grandmothers attic. I remember when I were a kid I always thought it was so exciting to sneek around there, I still do! She doesn't live there anymore but the house is still the same with all the things in it.
Look at that flower floor! I wonder if anybody would want a floor like that nowadays:)

Have a good Monday.

I relate to this post. I still visit my grandmother two or three times a month and she still has rugs of that kind on the floor. It's great for pattern inspiration, but I wouldn't want one for my place!

suunnittelen vanhasta ruususesta tapetista itselleni "mattoa". ei se ihan lattiasta käy, mutta kohtalaisen iso sekin on :)

That's funny because I found a piece of lino flooring on the pavement a while ago exactly like that! I picked it up as it appealed to me and scanned it, tinkered about with it in Photoshop and am planning to use it as wallpaper in illustrations. So the pattern is not just in Finland!
