Istanbul

I made "mockarutor"(chocolate coconut cake) this weekend but didn't have any coconut so I made with sprinkles instead. Good:)

I just came home from a meeting with the platform people. We're all going to the Istanbul Biennial next Wednesday.
We're going to work on our own project there during the first days after the opening but also see the whole Biennial. Exciting, exciting!

Summer 2006 we all went to the 52nd Venice Biennale and worked as "assistants" to Huseyin Alptekin who was representing Turkey at the Biennial. We stayed there 3 weeks and it was hard work but AMAZING!

Ritz

Yesterday evening we went to see a friends band called Francis. They made a great gig:)
Here is a music video my friend Johan did for them a while ago. Check it out!

And we ate chocolateballs!

Happy Friday everyone

Carrots+coconutoil

Again a long break..it has become a bad habit!!
Hope your weekend was good. We had a garden party with all our neighbours on Saturday and it was so much fun:) I think that's an advantage, to live in a small house and get to know your neighbours. Well, I know that it can be bad too but luckily in our case it's great because we all get along so well.

Today I was off from work (always on Mondays) and I had breakfast in town with my friend, walked around and she bought carrots from the market and I bought coconutoil.

Happy to come home

The time flies and our hall is still in the same condition..well almost. The wallpaper is finally gone:) I hope it doesn't take us this long until we get it painted. We're thinking of a light grey colour. No picture from it yet, it looks too bad!

When I came home today Rasmus surprised me with some new books and movies he had bought!! NICE:)
New artbooks + risotto with white wine. DOUBLE NICE.

A little more of Helsinki

Two houses in the neighborhood where we stayed, I like the icebears on the roof and I could live in that cute little green house!
We passed the boats while walking to the festival, I wonder if somebody is living on the first one..!
My friend Alice sitting in the livingroom, and as you can see it was filled with our stuff we had with us:) Too much..

Home

I'm back!
Flow festival was great, I'm only a bit dissapointed by the lack of space. It was too big for such a small area. I hope it'll be better organized next year!

How was your weekend?

#2

The weather has been nice today but windy and now the sky is covered with clouds...they say it will rain for the rest of the week:/ Hope not. We're going to a festival next weekend and I demand some good weather!!

Somebody has been sleeping since he came home after work:) I wonder if he can sleep at all tonight..

Have a good evening, now I'm going to eat some leftover pizza from yesterday.

Day off

Hurrah it's Monday, I have a day off! Last week was almost too much and I'm looking forward to this week which is going to be less hectic.
Now I'm going to read all the blogs I missed last week!

Have a good day!

A party

A few glimpses from a friends doctoral disseration yesterday. It was held at a nice place next to the sea. Beautiful! The evenings are getting darker here now..

Tonight we celebrate the Night of the Arts in our town and I'm working from 14-00..!
(The Night of the arts is a minor art festival, where art-related events happen in various places all around the city. The events typically begin at around 6 to 8 PM and last at least until midnight, sometimes even to early morning. Events are held in museums, bookstores, public parks, and other places.)
