----Flat searching update----

Yesterday we went to look at a house(!) for sale next to the harbour. Or more exactly, it was almost ON the harbour, not very nice.
Too bad, because it was quite cheap and very beautiful. An old customs house. It just felt very misplaced there next to the industrial buildings and big ships.

We have to keep on searching..


Now I'm eating yellow soup in front of my computer...I should learn to not eat when I'm at the computer. I'm not a messy eater, but still.

It's been snowing like mad the whole day..and I don't want more snow!

Dish

I should have taken a picture of how it looked before. This is after. Sometimes I so wish we had a dishwasher!

I was lucky to only get a little cold with a stuffy nose and not a flu (I'm mixing up those words in English..) and now it's almost gone! Wish I always had quick sick-days like this while I'm being sick.

The picture is from last spring when me, Rasmus and my little sister were in Gothenburg! Me and my sister walked around in the city while Rasmus prepared his gig which he had later that evening. We took a break from walking around and sat down on a bench somewhere next to some kind of a marketplace I think. Maybe somebody can recognize where in Gothenburg it is? :)

Mette tagged me a while ago to show my desk! So finally here it is. My tiny one at home with my huge computer screen on (still didn't get rid of it) and some spots of my studio desk!

Crowberry juice and coffee

Tasting Crowberry juice for the first time. It tastes like very sweet blackberry juice. Almost too sweet for my taste.

Today's a free day and so far I've been sorting and folding clothes, now I'm off to the studio.

The weekend is over, it went so fast! The following week is going to be quite busy I think..
Hope I have the power to do anything because I catched the flu again! AGAIN!
Now I'm going to eat vitamines and go to sleep.

Thank you so much for your comments on my previous post!
When you're in a situation like this it's always good to get opinions from others.
We went to look at the other flat yesterday and I didn't like it as much as the first one, so typical. It just didn't feel like the "right" one.

We have to keep on looking and hope that we will find a place. I still want that first flat but seems like it's impossible:(
Next week we're going to discuss with the bank and hopefully know what would be the best!

I wish I were rich..

So we went to look at the flat. And I really fell in love with it, it was amazing! Just perfect in all possible ways, I could move in tonight! Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it.

One problem - money of course. We both have to raise a big loan since we're planning to buy and not rent. The loan is not really a problem but the house "debt" (not the correct word but I hope you understand what I mean) is very high so we would have to pay very much for that every month + the loan.
We COULD do it but then we won't have much extra money to live for.
Is it worth it? To live in your very own dream apartment but then have a very low budget for everything else.

Well tomorrow we're going to take a look at flat nr. 2 and that one is cheaper. I hope it is lovely too so I don't just have this one on my mind.

Is anyone in the same situation or have you been?

Home again

The quick weekend was nice! And R's gig went good. We stayed at a friends place who has a black cat named Hippi. So cute!

Tonight we made pasta with red/yellow pepper, cream & white wine sauce and lots of garlic, so simple and so good.

A big PS.

We found a new flat! Or at least we hope so, we're going to have a look at it on Wednesday. We have to move out from the flat we're living in now because of some plumbing renewal and renovation, so we thought it's best to find a new place instead of moving back in after the renovation.
I'm excited:)

Relaxing

It's Friday! And I'm sorry for not posting anything here since Monday..I've been working almost the whole week. Haven't had the time for taking pictures or blogging. Tonight I'm going to relax at home, starting with pizza and wine. Tomorrow we're going to Tampere, Rasmus is having a gig.

Today I had lunch with a friend. I think I've never ate a salad with that many ingredients before! But it was good.
Now I'm going to spend the rest of the day in my studio!
Maybe I feel like watching a movie tonight..I don't know. What do you think is best to do on a Monday evening??

Morning

It's a beautiful and calm morning. A big difference from yesterday. The fire was so heavy that the firefihgters had to work the whole night. The house is now only a big black pile of wood. So sad.

Now I'm off to work, have a good Friday!

Something scary

There's a fire in a house on our street right now. The whole house is burning down. Luckily I heard that all the people who lived there got evacuated on time. I feel so bad for them losing their homes.

Stripes

I have been in the studio most of the day. I don't really know what I'm painting, my inspiration is zero right now. I think it went with the nice weather we had until some days ago. It's been raining today:(
Still I admit it's fun to just paint whatever and hope that the inspiration will grow with the painting.

Monday shoppingday

Today has been all about shopping..First Rasmus woke up at 4 a.m to auction home a camera on ebay (sadly the canonet 28 did not work). During the day I went to town and bought some things I really needed but also shoes, a bag and a radio for the studio..phew! Now I need a big break from shopping.

Suddenly almost all snow has melt away. It's awfully grey outside.

Yesterday & today

Yesterday was a calm day starting with a late little brunch with my two sisters. It's so nice when the three of us hang out together. I wish we could do it more often:)

Today is a cloudy day, the only thing I've been doing so far is cooking beans.
Now --> the studio!

1. To eat a breakfast in front of the computer or while reading the newspaper.
2. Take pictures with our new cameras Rasmus bought for Christmas. Lomo Smena Symbol -71 something..don't know the exact year but it's very old. And Canon New Canonet 28 produced year 71-76.
3. Play with Sune and Ebba, I don't see them everyday but I wish I did!
4. Having a cosy, nice dinner. But sometimes I'm just too busy or lazy to make an effort..
5. Draw, paint or to do something else which is creative. Lately I haven't had much time for it but from now on I plan to do it every day!

2009

The new year is here and I hope it's going to be a good one! 2008 was both good and bad, most of all an eventful year.

One bad thing was, I lost my dear cat Spöke. She ran away and never came back..It hurts when I think of what could've happened to her.
I hope she's alive and that a kind person took care of her. I so often dreaming about her coming back. I still hope she will one fine day.

Some good things (I got), a job, my own studio, and many new blogfriends:)
