Sunshine!

Finally it was a sunny morning I woke up to! The days have been so gray and boring lately. So today I feel like I have some extra energy to do all the things on my long list of things to do (or at least some of it). I'm so exited about tonight because I'm going to make the video for the installation! -with help of course:)

Coffee

I'm having my morning coffee now and quick check my mail and some sites, have to continue with the schoolwork right after. Maybe I can put up some new pictures of the work tomorrow:)

I haven't done anything interesting apart from cleaning my flat since I came home from school today. I was so bored that i went to buy chocolate!..and i don't even like chocolate that much.

I'm looking for material and inspiration in my boxes and bags with things (and junk) I collected. So I found this old book that I once cut out some text from. And I also tried to use it as a sketchbook!

Installation art?

Oh my, what is this going to be!? We're having an installation workshop in school. I find installations very fascinating and at first I had a lot of ideas. But now.....uh oh! I'm thinking of building something, and maybe use video or sound effects. Like an usual installation:) I have to have a storyboard finished for tomorrow morning...

I got a gift today!

Look at these cute yellow chairs/stools I got today:) It was supposed that I get them on my birthday but now I got them a few weeks before, thanks Rasmus<3

Summerplace

I went to my familys summerplace/cottage a few days ago to pick up an old table. The house is so old that I'm always a bit afraid that the floor would collapse when I'm on the upper floor. But it is so cute, everything is crooked and the doorways are so narrow:)

Autumnholidays

So now that it's Autumnholidays I sholuld really get something done. Lots of schoolwork, clean my flat, paint...But today I feel So lazy:/

Finally someone came to fix the batteries in my flat! It hasn't been a big difference between the temperature outside and inside. Hmm, but the floor is still very cold....I have to put carpets all over the place:)

Border

We went to the Ikea in Haparanda, Sweden. It's really at the northern border between Finland and Sweden. At the same time we were supposed to do some schoolwork, do photographing and some filming....I only took a few photos. But the nature up there is very beautiful and I saw places that I want to go back to and maybe do a time lapse. Yeah, Rasmus? :)

Party-shades for Friday night

I'm a collector. So of course I collect sunglasses! The crazier the better. Tonight would be a perfect party night with shades on, but I'm going to take it easy tonight because tomorrow early morning we're going to Ikea to buy necessary stuff:)

Chair from Grandma!

Today I got this old broken chair from my grandmother:) I know it will look great with new cool textile and surface grinding. So soon it's time for broken chair repair-day!

Home in Vasa

Right now I'm at my moms place in Vasa. Have to finish a painting for tomorrow and then I go back. This is my moms cat "Sune", he likes to chill out.

Orange light

The orange light in my bedroom is because of..
..this curtain which originally is a cloth for a table.

I really had lack of inspiration lately. Yesterday I tried to get something done, finally. This is what came out of it, inspired by the photograph I took of my sister sitting in the woods:) I will finish it today!

I love Pez figures<3 It's really sad that I didn't save those I had when I was a kid..So now i started to collect them again! Like this person did. Looks great or? So please, if you have a pez you don't want anymore; contact me:)

Finished

I just got home from school. I finished the print and it didn't turn out the way I planned, it looks kind of funny:) It's always like that when you do graphics (etching etc.), it will always look different on the finished print than on the copper plate...

What a cute lamp! I found Spigotti when I was surfing for different lamp models to my graphic print. I'm sure that the light from this lamp is very warm and cosy.

Planning

This is going to be something weird when it's finished. I'm going to mix a few techniques. Aquatint etching and photo etching.

Painting

Yesterday I got tired of all the white walls in my flat so I went to buy brown paint and painted one wall in my livingroom. I will show the end result when I get my sofa. Right now it's full of boxes and a camp bed!
Unfortunately I had to paint over the two small cars made with crayons. Somebody has drawn them there before I moved in.

This young japanese artist is amazing! The sleepingbag-bear is cute, just hope that it's not made of a real bear...
Take a look at her clothes under "The man who changed into a fly", there is one dress with a fly print that i really like (otherwise I hate flies). Eiko Ishizawa
